Someone can explain the distinction between the Aorus Pro and Pro P, noting they’re both similar models available on Amazon, with the Pro P being more affordable.

I assume you're talking about the B550-M AORUS PRO(-P)? It looks to me like the difference is a slightly better (questionable) VRM on the non-P, but 2.5Gbps networking on the -P.

I think the Aorus B550M PRO is the earlier version, and it should be fully swapped for the Aorus B550M Pro-P in the future. As noted by @AbydosOne, the key changes are the VRM upgrade and the switch to 2.5Gb Ethernet. EDIT: A few months ago on Reddit there was talk of slightly enhancing the VRM to match the ASUS TUF and MSi Mortar.
