I’m planning to assemble my PC this month and have already started picking components. I’m considering the Ryzen 3 3200G for $99.3, Venom RX DDR4 4 GB single stick at $17, Aerocool VX Plus 350W for $20, a 1TB SSD at $17, and a Seagate 1TB drive at $43. For the motherboard, I’m torn between the Asrock B450 Pro 4 ($94) and the Gigabyte B450M Gaming ($86). Which one should I choose? I’d appreciate your advice based on my intended use—light rendering, basic Photoshop, and some gaming.
The CPU performs well. With that amount of RAM you probably won’t even start up. It’s not enough to run Chrome smoothly. PCPartPicker has a list you can use. For gaming, at least 8GB is needed, and for heavy tasks it should be more than 10GB.
You can't simply swap an 8GB stick for a 4GB one. Make sure the replacement meets your needs and fits your system requirements.
