Crysis 3 is currently priced at $6 on Origin. I was thinking about purchasing a Crysis title, but it seems I’d likely need to play it at medium settings or low FPS with my 5760x1080 display—something that wouldn’t be ideal. How do the visuals and gameplay stack up against the original Crysis or Crysis 2? Clearly, Crysis 3 offers superior graphics, but which game provides the best overall experience? And how do the graphics from Crysis 1 compare to today’s standards?
I prefer Crysal 3 over Crysis or Crysis 2, making it the top choice. Crysal 1 offers good graphics by current standards, but nothing particularly impressive.
I don’t enjoy the Crysis 2 experience at all. The visuals aren’t great without a texture upgrade, though the facial details are impressive. 60fps+ high quality textures, top settings, game effects look amazing at 4K on my GTX 770 with 2GB RAM. Someone said Crysis Warhead is solid too.
It was a bit of a mess trying to get the VTOL working—never made it to the carrier. Seems like using an Xbox controller was necessary, and there were some weird keyboard issues that didn’t cooperate. Totally gave up on both.
I recently attempted to play Crysis once more, but it no longer works. I believe Crysis 2 and 3 offer a superior experience.
Crysis 2 had some issues that made me stop playing. The controls felt like a console, and the field of view was poor. I won’t buy Crysis 3 either because it isn’t on Steam.
Crysis 1 is a solid choice for fans of the series. Those who favor Crysis 2 and 3 should consider returning to older consoles.
