Compare CPU performance in Arma 3 and note overall poor FPS.
I have an I5 4460. It maintains the same FPS across all settings because my GPU is struggling with the graphics. Are more cores or faster ones important? Would an I3 with two fewer cores perform differently if they ran at the same speed as my I5? Could an I7 benefit from hyper-threading or from having faster single-core performance? Would overclocking an I7 give you higher FPS compared to getting better performance from a regular core? I’m just trying to figure out why this game behaves this way for me and my kid, who gets 60 FPS with 270 and similar GPU power. Is there something significant people do in Arma 3 that affects FPS? I really don’t understand!
I keep applying those settings and still maintain around 25 frames per second.
Sorry, that seems like a simple question about another person's post. What is Hyper Threading?
The CPU features four cores, offering eight threads. One core supports two threads.
What adjustments are needed? The render/shadow distance setting can drastically lower FPS.
