You're starting out with a Ryzen 5 3600 and an RX 5500 XT, mostly using it for web browsing, streaming, light photo editing, and casual gaming. Since you prefer the Steel Legend design and don’t want to overclock, look for a mid-range motherboard that balances performance and aesthetics. Sticking with similar prices will help you compare options easily.

Hello! Are you thinking about improving your CPU? If not, you might save up for a B450. Both options are decent, but the Tomahawk offers better VRM performance compared to Steel Legend. For a 3600 MHz build, that difference won’t be crucial, especially if you don’t plan to overclock. I’d suggest weighing the features and internal details when making your choice.

Thank you for your message. It’s understandable given the time zone difference—thank you for your patience. For Japan, the PCIe upgrade isn’t urgent unless you’re planning a significant build. If you’re considering saving money, a B450 could be a good option. I’d suggest looking into models like the B450 or B550, as they often offer solid performance at a lower price. You mentioned a BIOS update might help with Zen 3 support—definitely worth checking. Let me know if you need more details!

Reply to comments by clicking the arrow. PCIe 4.0 won't affect the outcome. If the cost reduction for B450 is notable, I'd think about it. The same choices work well—MSI B450 Tomahawk and Asrock Steel Legend are solid options.

Thanks for the feedback! I also appreciate the Steel Legend style, but I ended up choosing the Tom instead. It’s available on Amazon for $79, while the SL is listed at $110. Seems like a good deal!
