Compare ASUS Prime X570-P and ASUS Prime B550 Plus to see their differences.
Both models cost $150, but it's hard to decide which offers better performance and better airflow. There aren't many videos or reviews about the B550 Plus to help compare. The X570-P is newer than the B550, which came out in June 2020, and the B550 Plus includes more features than the X570-P. What do you think? The X570 is compatible with older generation CPUs and seems to work with earlier models. Both boards are standard Prime series units, though the B550 offers a marginally improved VRM configuration that might be excessive for most Ryzen processors. It includes a quiet NB without a fan, reducing noise. Overall, they’re very similar in features and will run the 3950X smoothly. I’d likely choose the X570 for its CPU flexibility and forward compatibility with next-gen chips, avoiding the need for a dedicated chipset fan.
