Which one is better depends on your needs. Could you clarify what you're comparing?

Let me rephrase your request clearly. You'd like a more thorough approach to your question, emphasizing greater effort and detail. I'll ensure the response reflects that depth.

The situation varies, so a definitive response isn't possible.

I'm going to give it a shot. I've tested multiple models on my X570 Prime Pro Mobo. Right now I'm at 3800x, tried the 5800x and had to return it to Amazon because cooling was a total mess (360AIO). I also tried my son's 5800X3D, same problems just more severe. I sent it back. I prefer CPU temps under 80 degrees—never had that and won't likely again. My friend with the same setup followed my advice and bought the 5900X, which is easier to cool thanks to its 6C per CCD design. It runs a bit faster than the 5800X and definitely better for the memory card. If you can manage cooling, go with either the 5800X or the 3D model. To be honest, I'm leaning toward ordering the 5900X since it seems to offer the best overall performance. Hope this helps, and I'm just a hobbyist tinkering, not a pro.

They really don't work well. That's the honest truth. I still like my 5900X more than my 58X3D.

Expect challenges ahead since AMD aims for that 90c benchmark for performance. I’d need to significantly reduce the 7700X’s speed to stay under 80c during heavy use.

It was around midnight when I shared that post, and I was really exhausted. I spend a lot of time editing videos and photos, playing games, and streaming on Twitch.

Does it require more processing power than the 5800x3d offers? If yes, you're already aware. Streaming isn't overly demanding, but heavy editing might need a stronger CPU. If extra cores affect performance, then it could be worth considering.

This experience with the Ryzen 1800X made me cautious about jumping into the 7000 series right away. I’ll hold off until things stabilize, so the 5900X should serve me well for the next couple of years.
