Choose the 7500F to cut costs—especially for gaming, where the gap between 9600X and 7700 isn’t significant. Opt for the 7700 if you need more processing power for other tasks on your PC.

Mobo must come first. The B620M offers just one NVMe port and lacks Gen5 compatibility. The B860/M provides a solid long-term choice compared to the B650, though either model works well.

B850 corresponds to a Ryzen 7000-9000 chipset, while B860 represents an Intel Core Ultra 200 board line.

I found a motherboard that matches your needs—it's an ASRock B850M Pro RS, and it fits your budget perfectly.

Uncertain about upgrading from 5800X3D to 7500F. They seem similar in performance, but it's a top-tier AM4 compared to a lower-end AM5. Swapping the used Lambo for a Honda? Consider the 9600X or 9700X, unless you go with the 7800X3D. You’d still prefer the 3D cache.

I’d choose the 9600X for gaming. AMD Ryzen 5 9600X Review – Top Sub-$300 Gaming CPU – Game Tests at 1440p with RTX 4090 | TechPowerUp

The 9600X doesn't offer a significant speed boost over the 7500F. The price difference isn't justified by nearly a 50% increase. Did everyone miss this? Zen 5 was named "Zen 5%" due to its limited gaming improvements. It's not a major upgrade compared to Zen 4 in most games, and it can even regress in some titles. It's just a minor upgrade at best.

From one perspective, there’s a clear advantage. However, considering the overall cost of upgrading—such as comparing the 7500F and 9600X packages—the $75 difference becomes much less significant. The impact really hinges on whether you focus on individual parts or the complete build. I base my decision on what best meets my needs.
