You're starting a salvage build and have some options: a 3000 model with chipset 0TC667 or an Optiplex 7010 with chipset 0KRC95. The Optiplex 7010 generally offers more flexibility for future upgrades, while the 3000 is a solid choice if you're limited by budget or space. For basic home use and simple games, either works well, but the Optiplex gives you a bit more room for expansion later.

The Dimension 3000 becomes nearly inoperable unless you dedicate your whole day using Microsoft Office. As soon as you attempt to upload it online, you’ll find yourself trying to force it through a fragile barrier, risking serious injury.

cn 0tc667 matches LGA 1151 or 2015 standards, while cn 0krc95 fits LGA 155 or 2011 standards. It looks like the first one is the better choice.
