Compact or medium-sized AMD system featuring a USB-C connector header
Hi, I'm trying to assemble a compact AMD Ryzen 3000 series build featuring USB-C headers. It seems hard to find a suitable combination that fits my budget without breaking the bank. The rear USB-C connection is often missing in affordable B450 boards. Are there any alternatives for a small setup? One option might be an expensive X570 motherboard with USB-C on the back and no front header, while a cheaper Z390 model offers both rear and front headers but isn't from AMD. For future-proof choices, are there non-Expensive ITX or mATX boards available without RGB lighting or TG windows? I’m considering the Lian Li TU150 for a small build. For a mATX, options are limited—I need something plain and budget-friendly.
ATX size exceeds requirements. AMD miniITX: X570 costly and missing front USB C header. Can't employ USB C header PCI E or M.2 adapter since ITX mb lacks sufficient PCI E slots or M.2 isn't viable due to coverage and SSD compatibility. It seems safe to say current mini ITX cases with front USB C ports are limited to Intel systems. Right? Intel miniITX: Z390 might work, but I prefer AMD. The 3600x is significantly more affordable compared to Intel options. Still uncertain if mATX is fading, but choices are limited.
The mATX situation is quite severe. Many mATX motherboards remain available, such as the Asus Gene, which has numerous XOC world records. The Aorus X570 I Pro features a type C but lacks a front type C configuration. It comes at a high price.
