Hey there, fellow builder! I’m a newcomer here and planning a compact workstation similar to Linus’s setup with the Caldigit hub. I want to hide the case inside my home and need the tiniest motherboard possible. It should have a display port input and support 40Gbps Thunderbolt. I’m especially keen on an 1151 socket so I can pair it with my existing 9800K. The Asrock Phantom looks promising but only offers 20Gbps—can I get full 40Gbps on Mini ITX boards soon? Ideally, the DP port should be built right into the motherboard for an ultra-slim case in a Mini ITX if possible. If that’s not feasible, I’d prefer a Micro ATX with a Thunderbolt header. Through the Caldigit hub, I plan to run two 1080p monitors (upgradeable to 4K later) and have at least one external HDD or SSD powered via bus. A 8-bay HDD enclosure could also work—maybe even plug it into the motherboard instead. Any advice or concerns? Looking forward to your thoughts!

This query seems to be asking about the Z390 design and whether it was discussed on Reddit. Could you clarify if you're looking for information on a specific topic related to Z390 or want confirmation about its presence on Reddit?

ATX is precisely what I'm looking to steer clear of. Did you find a link that might help with troubleshooting or fixes?

Since you're facing a tough spot without an ATX, even with both ATX and EATX options, your choices are limited to the Aorus Xtreme and Designare models.

Ugh, maybe I can delay things long enough until better choices appear.
