I understand the need for a budget-friendly option under $150 that connects to your current setup and works with your existing gear.

You can connect your tablet or phone with Splashtop. It functions, though with reduced quality.

I own a SplashTop but haven't tested it yet. Does it slow down during gameplay?

It could be possible, but you might need a device that fits behind the TV.

It's a chance it might have some ponies in the engine.

If you're okay with a setup comparable to two stacked Blu-Ray players placed beneath the TV, there are certain SFF PCs equipped with Core 2 Duo processors that accommodate low-profile GPUs. As long as it includes Gigabit Ethernet and a PCIe x16 port, even a GT 210 can be installed, completing your streaming PC.

It works fine. With the suggested configurations, it's almost invisible. I wouldn't really dive into a multiplayer FPS while using Splashtop.
