When graphical issues occur, use alt+ctrl+f2 to exit, log in, and terminate the GUI along with related processes in one command. Restart the GUI (X Server).

rtorrent handles magnet links for a long time. Use the command to paste them and press enter when done.

Not sure what you mean, but I recall it happened when I used a magnet on my laptop. Fine.
