Greetings.

I have completed all recent Windows updates, including both essential and optional ones. My PC utilizes a Corsair TX750m 80+ gold power supply, sufficient for my graphics card. Since replacing the power supply, I have experienced no issues with monitor outages or device malfunctions. Speccy indicates zero errors in my system. Despite attempting all resolution settings—high and low—the game consistently fails to launch.

The issue persisted after reinstalling the game. I suspect a recent graphics card driver update two weeks ago may be responsible, but I’m unsure how to resolve it. There seem to be no available solutions, which is frustrating.

Uninstall the game. Remove all DirectX installations. Reinstall the game, then reinstall DirectX 8.1. Afterwards, install DirectX 11 on top of it; this may resolve the issue.

DirectX cannot be uninstalled because it is integrated into Windows 7.

Recent video card driver updates have triggered this problem for me. I experienced it after upgrading to versions beyond 19.5.2. The exact change in AMD drivers between 19.6.x and later is unclear, but reverting to an older version resolved the issue.

My Radeon card is version 19.6.3. I want to revert to older AMD drivers. I recently updated my drivers, and a game stopped working after the update, so I suspect that’s the cause.

Remove the drivers and Radeon utility for the GPU to start. I do not know what version you have now that should be on the Radeon utility screen. After you reboot, then run this below in Windows Safe Mode: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis...nload.html Then download an older driver here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/prev...hd...hz-edition
