Hey, I see you're trying to get a home Wi-Fi setup going in Toronto. It can feel overwhelming at first, but breaking it down helps. Let me simplify things for you.

You’ll need an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that covers your area. In Ontario, common options include Rogers, Bell, Telus, and Shaw. Once you pick one, they’ll give you a router—this is the central device that connects your devices to the internet.

For coverage across your whole house, consider a mesh Wi-Fi system or a range extender. These help bridge gaps where the signal fades. If you want something more affordable, look into basic routers with good range and solid speed.

Don’t worry about all the jargon—just start with one reliable ISP, get a decent router, and maybe add a mesh unit later if needed. Let me know what you find, and I can give more specific tips! 😊

You have many resources about setting up wireless at home. Could the wrong keyword be the issue? For ISPs I can't assist since I'm not in Canada, though I might offer a small payment. How large should the coverage area be? What construction materials does your house use (concrete, brick, wood, etc.)?

Who provides internet service in your region? I’m based in the US but hope some Canadian contacts can assist.
What’s the size and construction of your home?
Are you open to installing cables or running wires?
What activities do you plan to use this network for? Streaming, gaming, etc.
How many devices will be connected?
How much are you willing to invest in this setup?
