Combining two Rams for a dual-channel performance
Combining two Rams for a dual-channel performance
I possess two 8 GB DDR4 modules—one at 2400 MHz with CL 17 and latency 14.1, and another at 3200 MHz with CL 22 and latency 13.7. Will dual channel be supported on this laptop? My HP ProBook 450 G5 runs on the same type of RAM, but I can't locate identical units and need an upgrade since the current ones stay near full capacity. Both are DDR4.
It can operate at 2400 or below depending on the module and bios setup, as manual tweaking is unlikely.
These two sticks deliver similar results. No matter which you choose, you'll still win. (unless you end up with the least favorable outcome 2400 cl22) Edited November 3, 2023 by leclod
