Your laptop already has 4GB of built-in RAM. Adding another 4GB slot would give you a total of 8GB if you install the same size RAM. It depends on your needs and budget—either option is possible, but 8GB offers more flexibility for future upgrades.

It seems mostly focused on coding and SolidWorks for gaming, though not strictly casual. However, with recent titles (around 10GB) it begins to lag noticeably during gameplay.

I’d expect 8GB because the system requires additional RAM beyond what’s available in a dual-channel setup.
