Colors green and purple near white items in games are often used for visual emphasis.
Recently my friend began experiencing some visual problems in games that seem to pop up and vanish unpredictably. When he views vivid colors, a green and purple (sometimes blue) spark appears. His laptop is under a year old and has been handled carefully, rarely moved from his desk. It’s likely a Windows 11 setting was altered, though I’m not sure what it was. Images below show the situation.
I don't have access to specific details about a laptop model. Could you provide more information or clarify your question?
The game's performance specs are available. WindWorld 11 experienced driver issues recently. Please verify that all drivers are current.
We refreshed the drivers but it didn’t resolve the issue. The same problem persisted, appearing suddenly after a short time. It doesn’t seem to be triggered by any settings in the game. It appears unrelated to previous changes, as we hadn’t encountered this before and didn’t adjust any options.
It seems the problem might stem from a software glitch. To fix it, use HP Support Assistant to update the drivers. Since you have two GPUs—one built into the processor and another RTX 3050 Ti—you'll need to update both graphics drivers. Also, updating the UEFI settings could help resolve the issue.
Updated the drivers per the post and nothing changed; problem remains. Used GeForce Experience and HP Assistant. Fullscreen works, but windowed mode causes issues. It helped a month ago.
Is the UEFI version current? I suspect HP Assistant didn't detect any new firmware updates. If everything is up-to-date, we should focus on the problem. Reduce the screen refresh rate to its minimum possible setting. Observe if this resolves the issue. Test in both warm and cold environments—such as a laptop running nonstop gaming sessions versus just powering on. With the refresh rate set at its lowest: press Windows key + R and open ms - settings: display - advanced graphics. Configure Minecraft to use the Intel GPU (PowerSaving mode, or assign the Intel iGPU if available). Check whether the same problem persists. Repeat the process switching to the Nvidia GPU. Does the issue appear with either? Both? None? Submit your findings. If you prefer not to troubleshoot further or it remains within warranty, I strongly advise reaching out to HP Support, as this may indicate a hardware concern.
