my main system includes Fractal Design Prisma AL-12 PWM 120mm with addressable RGB and another model, the Prisma AL-14 PWM 140mm, also addressable RGB fans. Recently, the static color I chose shifted from a navy blue to a dull green, and some of my preferred purple shades displayed as pink instead of the intended darker purple. The RAM and motherboard colors remain accurate. What’s unusual is that the side PC’s ARGB fans now show the same colors as the RAM, even though they’re stock units. The exhaust fans I bought matched those from the main rig, but the side PC’s ones are identical to the RAM. I noticed this with my Fractal Design Prisma AL-14 PWM 140mm ARGB fans, which I liked enough to buy two more for the side unit. They function properly; it’s the CM fans that display these odd colors. This issue appears regardless of the software I use. Everything else looks clear—I have a Crosshair 8 dark hero in my main rig and Venge RGB Pro DDR4 3600 mhz 32GB kit with 5900X 3080TI ASUS ROG RyoU RGB AIO liquid cooler, 240mm. The side PC runs a 5600X with Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite Wi-Fi. I’m using GSKILL 3600mhz 32GB, RTX 3070, and a MasterMaster liquid ML240R ARGB close-loop AIO. I’ve tried Crate, Aura Sync, Icue, and openRGB, but uninstalled Crate because it caused my CPU to clock down and stuck at reduced speeds. With the side PC, I’ve used MasterPlus and RGBFusion. I suspect this isn’t a software problem but possibly hardware-related—maybe the motherboard or fans are affected. It’s happening on two systems and different fan sets. If you’re curious, it’s not just a software glitch; it could be something fundamental.
