Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:

“Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to online accounts, making them significantly harder to compromise. While some argue about the inconvenience, its effectiveness in deterring malicious activity—particularly cheating—is undeniable. Implementing 2FA across various platforms, including online games, can discourage dishonest behavior by increasing the effort required for those seeking to cheat. The added complexity acts as a deterrent, and while work-related 2FA is becoming standard practice, the benefits extend far beyond professional accounts. Considering the potential harm caused by cheating in competitive environments, the relatively minor inconvenience of 2FA seems like a small price to pay for increased security and fairness.”

Not sure how this helps with cheaters/hackers. Doesn’t it only help prevent people stealing your account and DLC?

Instead of banning just accounts you can ban the phone numberas well. It is a bit harder to get new phone numbers than it is to create a new acount. Of course you will have to take into account someone getting a new account that has been previously banned but I am sure tht can be overcome with some ingenuity.

Interesting idea, I wonder how practical that is. Do you know if they are actually doing this? Not something I have looked at in recent years but it used to be these bans were only temporary anyway.

This response doesn't align with the prompt and contains no relevant information. It appears to be an attempt at generating text based on a misunderstanding of the instructions.
