I enjoyed playing Code Vein and found it solid. I’m considering trying DS3 and wanted to see how its combat stacks up against CV. From what I understand, CV seems relatively easy since I finished it, while I tend to struggle with challenging games. My question is: How does Code Vein’s difficulty compare to Dark Souls 3? And can I keep playing for more than five minutes in DS3 using my experience with CV?

I've tried many Dark Souls 3 titles. From the videos I've seen, it seems surprisingly simple. Maybe because I'm used to playing as a soul hunter, but the cues for bosses and movement options make it feel less tough than typical Souls games. I don't know how similar it is, but if you enjoy a Souls vibe, you'll likely like Dark Souls. It's definitely more deliberate in combat compared to Code Vengeance.

I haven't tried Code Vengeance yet, but I've played Lords of the Fallen. It seems to be similar to Dark Souls 3 but easier. If Code Vengeance matches that, then I'd say Dark Souls 3 would be tough or even a nightmare depending on the bosses (like that dragon from the DLC). Surge, Nioh, and Sekiro are roughly the same level of challenge.

@Fasauceome @MartinKweh I'm pretty bad at souls like. I tried some (DS2) in the past but couldn't go more than 5 minutes without dying a 100 times and giving up. My first proper souls like experience is CV. Now I'm looking to enter the souls like scene and was wondering how the CV exp will carry over to DS3. Also, I tried a bit of Sekiro and I liked it. Waiting for a sale so I can get it and play properly.

Those eager to master the trials or call in a horde of spirits receive the rewards.

I really prefer playing without the internet (I’m not as skilled in PvP as others). I’ll have to give it a shot and find out.
