Code error 0xc000007b encountered.
I've been attempting to play Skyrim for over five hours, but the program keeps crashing with the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)." I've checked everything I can find online—reinstalled Direct X, .NET Framework, and Microsoft Visual C++—but nothing works. I'm unsure what else I should try and would appreciate any suggestions from others.
It seems the 64-bit DLLs are corrupted. I’ve heard that cleaning your registry with a tool like Cleaner can help. I tried a few steps that might assist: first, download Dependency Walker, then open TESV from the Skyrim folder to identify problematic .dll files (the red ones). Next, search for those .dll files on dll-files.com and download them. Make sure to select the 32-bit version regardless of your system architecture. Finally, place the downloaded file in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
