So I have DirecTV and this is how the router/modem is set up. I can't run an ethernet cable to my room, so I was wondering if there was a way if I could use ethernet over coaxial with the outlet in my room. I was looking at this but I was wondering if it was a good option. I'll take any idea you guys have. Wireless really isn't cutting it

It seems you're unsure, but I recommend verifying the compatibility of moca adapters.

I've checked out moca adapters, but most seem quite costly relative to what I was considering. If mine fails, I'd have to spend money to get dependable high speeds.

Hi, I noticed you're looking for affordable Ethernet options beyond the coaxial adapters you've seen online. Depending on your home's layout, there could be other solutions available. It also matters if you own the property or are just renting. What challenges are there between your router and the room? Are both spaces close enough for an outdoor-quality Ethernet cable to run? Many people also talk about PowerLAN, but I haven't had good results with it myself—even under ideal conditions, I experienced frequent connection drops.

I don't have possession of my home, so I'm not sure how they'd feel about running the cable outside. Do you know if the product from Amazon would be suitable?

I just watched that video, but thank you still! I’ll keep everything you mentioned in mind. You’ve been really helpful. The outdoor cable will be the final option Smile

It seems you're using DSL and are considering Deca adapters. They should function as long as the connection is active, but their speed is typically capped around 100 Mbps.

Check the visual cues in the image; look for specific indicators that signal DSL usage. If you're unsure, describe what you see and I can help interpret it.

The connection uses cable internet, while coaxial and DSL services rely on phone lines. It seems you're connecting via phone lines instead.

The coaxial cable connected to the DirecTV box serves a specific purpose, linking it to the router via the blue/purple Ethernet cable. The image you mentioned shows this setup clearly.
