CMOS checksum invalid and USB device current overload detected
Hello, I'm facing an issue with my dad's old PC from about 2008. It keeps showing the CMOS Checksum Bad and USB Device Over Current Status errors. The CMOS problem is fixable if I can access the BIOS, but the USB one remains unresolved. When I restarted it, the keyboard and mouse worked fine, yet the computer shut down right away. After replacing the CMOS battery and putting it back in, the error persisted. I removed the front panel connectors and rebooted, but the same issues appeared. I checked the USB ports for any metal debris, but everything seemed intact. The USB hub looks fine, though. Is it possible the hub is damaged beyond repair? Please advise.
