Hi everyone.
I’m a beginner and seeking guidance on creating a cmd file with a log file. I’m having trouble making the shortcut run by clicking it five times.

Here’s the content I have:
The file details are copied from the internet, as I searched for a log.
The rest of the instructions relate to stopping Onedrive and using backup programs in WSL.

Properties / shortcut properties / run with admin permissions.
It actually opens the window but closes within less than two seconds.

But are you certain it isn't running the action you intended? Did it generate the file once it was closed?

Launch the command prompt with administrative privileges, navigate to the directory where the script resides, and execute it accordingly.
When using the desktop shortcut, the standard action occurs, which immediately terminates the command prompt window upon completion.
