[CLOSED QUESTION] I can't find a way to update my iCUE device?
[CLOSED QUESTION] I can't find a way to update my iCUE device?
I have a huge problem, I can't find any fix anywhere. When I try to update icue, the update never finishes and it says error number one. I looked at the corsair website but they are everywhere and they just don't answer me. However, if I try to update my ram's firmware, that works! What is going on?! When I leave icue alone for a long time, my computer acts crazy yesterday I had a BSOD it slowed down when doing things sometimes forces me to restart everything because windows stops working and won't let me open task manager. The only way I can fix icue is uninstall it and reinstall with the new version. What the heck is that? Now give me your build specs maybe there is something incompatible: I5-9400F VegaGenace 8gb DDR4 X2 Rog Strix B365F TX650W Barracuda HDD 1TB Gigabyte RTX2060 6GB
Not always a Windows issue. But I want to make sure the files aren't broken. They could be bad in both Windows and iCue, and one might break the other. If Windows works fine with no iCue, you're probably okay. Just leave it alone for a couple of days so things settle. Try reinstalling iCUE from scratch with a newer version. Download it yourself, install it, and set everything up manually. Don't use any extra software or tools that aren't official. I hope all goes smoothly and iCue updates on its own without problems. If not, here are some links to check for help: the Corsair forum thread about stuck updates, and another link for issues with installing iCUE again.
Check Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, or info events when things go wrong. Pay special attention to anything mentioning iCUE. If you find those signs: fully uninstall iCUE and delete it completely. Then check if your PC works properly on its own. If it's still acting up, run "sfc /scannow" and "dism" to fix Windows files. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-...es-2626161 How to use DISM command tool to repair Windows 10 image | Windows Central The main goal is to get your PC back to working normally.
It might not be a Windows issue. I want to make sure there are no broken files involved, whether in Windows or iCue. It is possible that one file breaks the other. If your computer works perfectly on its own without needing iCue, then go for it. Wait about two days just to be safe. Remove iCUE and start over with a newer version. Download, install, and reconfigure manually. Don't use any extra software or tools from outside. I hope everything goes right again and updates smoothly without errors.
