I have another concern, I added more RAM after installing the SSD and then the PC displays a clear white disk space but it doesn<|pad|> to show no usage in the task manager. Also, the laptop shuts down by itself or just freezes. When I first set it up, I had to format the SSD and a warning appeared asking for GTP format; I agreed but the issue didn’t fix and it still restarts on its own. If I moved the M.2 drive so the SSD label pointed correctly and unplugged the battery, the behavior changed. What do you think is the problem?

I eliminated the m2 and the PC isn't displaying the same issues, so it might be a faulty SSD.

Check the installed data on your hard drive and see how often it changes.

It seems unpredictable, restarting often causes issues. If I open Edge or Firefox and the PC restarts, or let the laptop freeze, I experience problems. I almost had 200 GB of games installed and removed them all to free up space, aiming for a 230 GB drive. Aida 64 confirmed the SSD is fine, but I’m uncertain now. Also, after uninstalling the SSD, the problems disappeared and then reappeared.

The issue could stem from the drive or the slot. Can the BIOS adjust the PCIe connection for this SSD?

Windows recognizes the drive, yet formatting didn’t update the BIOS to show the SSD.

For cloning using Macrium, you won’t need to format the drive. Have you installed the software and tested it? If the SSD doesn’t trigger unexpected shutdowns after cloning your OS, that’s great.

I handled it using Macrium and another program, the Mini Tool Partition Wizard. But the system kept crashing randomly within an hour—first a blue screen, then the fan got extremely loud after the screen went black, just in case it got worse.
