I tried different approaches to move Windows onto the SSD while keeping my existing apps intact. The main worry is preserving the app locations in the registry. I’m considering various methods—reinstalling Windows on the SSD, cloning the HDD, or using a backup strategy—but I need guidance on the safest way to handle everything without losing data. Let me know what you think.

Sure, you can simply reinstall the office. It usually sets up quickly, and the programs should function properly afterward.

Clone the full disk containing partition E into the SSD you intended to use. The letter for the partition may be adjusted within 30 seconds.

It seems I anticipate cloning will require more time than a simple fresh setup.
