It would be beneficial to push it to its full potential, even without any tasks. This seems illogical, but it makes no sense. >>> typical reaction. *Note: just now I observed 50 ghz. Not sure what’s happening.*

The issue seems to be a software glitch, as AMD's official resources aren't displaying the information correctly.

Even then I wouldn't be concerned. It's not voltage or power that would harm the CPU if you can't track it precisely, clock speed is only a basic measure when it comes to CPU usage.
