The device emits an unusual clicking noise even after turning off the fans and removing the hard drive. The issue continues without any disk connected.

There is no movement from the PSU. Just the fan noise.

It might be possible to use a few damaged pins. Also, an AIO isn’t plugged in permanently—unplugging the pump cable won’t stop it, but monitoring won’t work.

You disconnected the power source for the AIO, which likely included both the PWM cable and the SATA/MOLEX connections.

Initially I assumed it was an HDD, but you clarified you don’t have one, so what could it be? Is it the component that holds the CPU in place? By the way, does it mean the motherboard isn’t fully secured, possibly with some movement inside?

I removed the PWM cable and after reconnecting it, I noticed a strong water flow, confirming it was safely turned off.
