: Clean install Windows 11 Home Edition?
: Clean install Windows 11 Home Edition?
Hi. I purchased a PC with Windows 11 Home Basic installed. It functioned initially but later caused issues. I attempted an installation while keeping the two SSDs connected. I used a hard drive as a plug-in card, which didn’t resolve the problem. I then tried disconnecting both SSDs. My issue is that it prompted me to log into Microsoft, but under the local user account I don’t have a PIN. This has been frustrating for me with Google Chrome and the password manager, as I’m forced to enter a PIN even though my email is my username.
When I bought the PC, the shop staff didn’t set it up using an MS account. I want to do that myself. I’ve read online that with a home edition of Windows, you must log in with an MS account, but the shop owner wouldn’t recognize my account.
I’ve been told on YouTube that I need to disconnect and reconnect the Wi-Fi (since it’s a desktop with a cable connection). I have to open a command prompt and run netsh interface with the command oobe\bypassnro. I don’t understand what’s going on. Help is needed. I’d like to avoid this again until everything is sorted.
With all due respect to you ... for obvious security reasons i think this is one question that nobody will answer.
I may be wrong but i think your hoping that somebody will tell you how to get past the forgotten pin number so you can get to your desktop , if you look at the screen your stuck at you also have the option to log in with your microsoft password.
Can you imagine for much chaos could be caused in homes and workplaces if you was told how to get past the password screen.
If you manage to get to your desktop i can tell you how to stop being asked for your password and this is not a security risk because you need to know your password to get to the desktop in the first place.
Type netplwiz into the run box and untick the box top left so that you dont need to put your password in.
NOTE ... sometimes when widows does a major update the netplwiz function is reset so you will have to do it again.
this issue would involve you and the original seller;
they would need to either notify you that it wasn't activated
or provide a fresh activation method.
This has nothing to do with a forgotten PIN number. It involves installing Windows 11 using a local account without logging into the MS account. It is a straightforward task. No need to worry about purchasing a computer or returning to the seller.
I understand you likely don’t want this information, but here’s exactly<|pad|> what I do with my Win 10 and 11 systems...
