It’s an Asus TUF F15 (2022) model Fx517ZR equipped with a 12th Gen Intel 7-12650H processor running at 2.3 GHz. This device was recently acquired second-hand and originally came with Windows 11 Home, which I upgraded to Pro from a clean Windows ISO. Since it was a fresh installation, I had to install all the necessary stock Asus drivers and factory software, including Armoury Pro. I also ensured the system was updated to the latest BIOS version.
According to Asus’s information, this model supports various configurations—such as 8GB DDR5-4800 RAM in two slots or 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM in two slots, with a maximum capacity of 32GB dual-channel memory. I’m uncertain whether the previous owner had upgraded the RAM, but they mentioned replacing a 500GB SSD with a 1TB one. Currently, the system reports 16GB according to Windows, CPUz, and the MemTest results.
My intention was to upgrade to 32GB since I mainly use it for video editing. This decision led me to the current situation, prompting me to start the MemTest. The CPUz check indicated that the SPD tab shows DDR5-4800 at 2400MHz on both slots, but the Memory tab displays a blank or grayed-out value. I’m not sure if this is typical behavior. After running CPUz from my PC, it confirmed the timing details correctly.
However, my NUC Mini Bee PC only has one RAM stick, whereas the laptop has two. Both devices display a half-speed setting next to the maximum bandwidth numbers. This discrepancy is puzzling. For clarity, I shared photos of the MemTest results, which have been running for nearly 34 hours. Despite this, I remain committed and will continue monitoring the situation.

If I were facing your situation, I would remove Armory Crate (and disable it in BIOS if possible) and use G-helper instead.
The MemTest results indicate slot 0: 8GB DDR5-4899 and slot 2: DDR5-4800.
You may want to consider the IMC abbreviation, which stands for Integrated Memory Controller.

Regarding your slot numbers, it's conceivable that Asus connected one RAM slot to the first slot on Channel A and another to the second slot on Channel B. On a standard desktop motherboard with four slots, there are two channels—A and B—each providing access to two slots, totaling four slots for a typical desktop. This configuration is part of Asus's design for the laptop's motherboard, not a restriction of your system.
For the RAM upgrade, it would be best to use a kit with two 16GB modules at 4800MHz or DDR5-4800MHz. Avoid mixing different kits to prevent complications.
As for the frequency, exceeding 4800MT/s is unnecessary because the board or memory controller cannot support higher speeds.

The RAM I checked a while back, then mentioned, was too costly. It has increased in price by nearly half since then. Just now I did another search and price verification to see how much changed, but I thought about using Ebay because I realized they can be very good after becoming reliant on Amazon. What I discovered led me down this unusual path, and this forum post. I came across a 32GB (2x16) Corsair model at a discounted price that seemed unbelievable. I nearly bought it, but noticed all the specifications were correct except for the pins. My laptop uses 262, while these were listed as 288. I wondered if there might be a mistake or inconsistency because the item description from the seller didn’t match the product details. To clarify things further, I decided to just copy and paste the Corsair part number (assuming it’s correct) and the website says DDR5, but the bus speed is PC4-38200, which is different from my laptop’s PC5-38200. This difference relates to whether the RAM is DDR4 or DDR5. I’ve sold many items on Ebay, so this could just be an error from the seller since I used a pre-written description and changed it slightly. Even if I don’t purchase these, I’ll still contact the question if the description seems incorrect because it contradicts both the RAM specs and the seller’s title.
But why does the Corsair page list PC4-38200?
To be honest, they appear to be a reputable and trustworthy seller.
Edit: One more point; the red highlighted number 4899 was actually a typo on my end, but you mentioned "IMC next to it". The details about memory speed for slots 0 & 2 are consistent, both showing the same Samsung tag and part number. The IMC listed under CPU refers to DDR5-4788 / CAS (the meaning isn’t clear). What I haven’t done yet is what brand Asus uses for stock parts. I think I previously thought Samsung was stock, but I’ll double-check the part numbers.
I hope this MemTest completes so I can turn off Armoury and install G-Helper as I’m really interested in that. I dislike flashing stock Windows on a laptop and playing the “what do I actually need to install” game. Can I still overclock with G-Helper? That was Armoury’s main advantage, besides it allows changing keyboard light settings and linking everything to hotkeys.
I chose to halt the MemTest since it looked like it would take days to finish.
I removed all Armoury tools, turned them off in the Bios, and activated G-Helper as suggested by Lutfij. Thank you!

THERE ARE 3 screenshots of CPUz for the Mainboard, Memory & SPD sections. Yes, this is the ROG official version, but I achieved identical outcomes with the official 2.18 release. I only started this process after investigating my grayed-out timing and (2400) led me to their official site, where I found official releases for certain MBs.
