I purchased a DDR5-7200-CL34 32GB module and asked about its effect on gaming performance and how it stacks up against other CL speeds.

CL34 performs well at 7200MHz, which is ideal. Quick RAM paired with solid timings is present without any problems. Many options exist with speeds around 5600 or 6000MHz that match CL34 or Cl36. A lower CL indicates better performance, typically 7200MHz RAM runs at CL38.

I wasn't able to locate any information besides CL16 being effective, which made me concerned

Aha. CL16 is meant for DDR4 memory, while CL34 fits DDR5 typically. The range for DDR4 is around 12-18CL, and for DDR5 it's CL28 to CL40.

Most people use CL34 for 7200 MHz, but for tCL values it's common to stick with CL38. The frequency is high enough that I'd worry about XMP stability. I’d opt for a slower setting like 6000 CL30 or 6400 CL32, depending on whether you're targeting AMD or Intel.
