You're looking for a similar RAM upgrade, but the stock Kingston Fury CL17 is unavailable. You have an 8 GB, 3600 MHz stick in CL16 and a CL17 8 GB in CL16. The main differences are the speed and compatibility with newer systems. Since CL16 is still supported by most modern hardware, it might be worth waiting until the CL17 model becomes available.

Generally it functions (the CL16 will then operate at CL17), though this isn't assured. It might also fail to boot or struggle with speeds like 3600.

In theory, the RAM should operate at the lower of the two specifications. However, in practice problems can arise. A recent discussion mentioned someone experiencing similar difficulties, and it seems the PC failed to boot altogether. Edit: That was a tough one. Review the return policy and give it a shot.

The combination of different timing settings often leads to complications. A colleague experienced the same problem recently, with his setup failing to start properly.
