When choosing RAM, focus on both speed and stability. While high speed is important, paying attention to CL (CLOCK) and First Word Latency helps ensure quick data access. A balanced approach works best—prioritize speed for performance but don’t neglect stability for reliability. If you’re unsure, aim for a mix that suits your needs rather than chasing the absolute fastest option.

Ryzen gains from quicker performance, which you're likely aware of. A CL14 at 3600MHz is perfect, CL16 is okay and anything higher isn't great. I'm using a CL16 3600MHz on my 3900X and it functions flawlessly with no drawbacks. CL14 would be preferable, though.

You aim for high speeds first, then lower clock speeds, targeting 3200-3600mhz. For your CPUs, choose 14 or better, with 16-18 being typical. These are the models I personally use with my 3700x. https://www.newegg.com/ballistix-32gb-28...6820164174
