Someone here participated and they’re open to discussing their thoughts. I plan to check gameplay clips and reviews soon, but first I want to read what the forum says.

Could be enjoyable for someone new to CIV who enjoys sci-fi themes and is comfortable with real-time strategy titles. It might fit well if you get it on Linux.

It's not a real-time strategy game; it's more like a turn-based simulation. It moves at a slower pace compared to RTS titles. If you have some free time, check out TotalBiscuit's First Impressions on YouTube—it can help you decide if it suits your taste. Based on my experience with Civ V, adapting to its mechanics is manageable and enjoyable.

I saw that vid and i had the impression he hasnt really played much civ. Somethings he said are completely wrong and other things he just didnt know about the game. For people in this thread, It's slower paced than Civ 5, religion and somethings are missing but in general its an improvement that will get even better with the DLC that will be released in the next month/year. For people who havent played any CIV games before, lots to learn in the beginning but in the end lots of hours will be wasted in the game
