I purchased Cities Skylines and am enjoying the game. However, I'm facing an issue building houses outside of Europe. After checking everywhere, I only found "European/Vanilla" options as ON/OFF. Changing these settings doesn't help. Is it possible that the theme map I'm using limits the types of buildings available? The map I'm using is Cliffside Bay and it lists "European." Other maps include Tropical, Boreal, and Temperate. Do these variations affect the building styles I see? I'd like my structures to reflect non-European designs. Could you assist me with this? Thank you.

It makes no limitations. It only alters certain building designs.

It doesn't respond whether the "European/Vanilla" setting is enabled or disabled. You're aiming for a modern skyline, not a traditional multi-story design.

It seems you're suggesting the game mode you're using is set up for a European theme, which can make buildings look very typical of Europe even when playing on a world or non-European map. That's quite a stereotype!

It doesn't. It resembles arrogant French individuals, their oversized Poodles and Bichons from Witcher 3, but with even more terrible monsters... the politicians!

I noted the map I'm using is Cliffside Bay with a European theme. Can you adjust the setting to change the style, or would I be limited to European options? The other themes listed—Boreal, Temperate, and Tropical—are indeed non-European styles.

I spent 23 years in England. The area was mostly urban, with lots of trees or farmland.
