The AP and switch should support LLDP as well, which may be necessary for complete power negotiation. Could be a mistake—I think enabling LLDP is important. Also, are you operating in standalone mode? What software version are you using?

The code refers to a specific configuration page for the AP. To turn on LLDP, navigate to the AP settings and look for the LLDP option. Once enabled, you should see the appropriate interface listed.

I don't have access to the current firmware version of the switch. You'll need to check the device's management interface or documentation for this information.

Confirming the details: the reference ID is 07.4.00BT311 and it corresponds to the ICX64S07400b.bin file.

Consider upgrading to version 08.0.30t. You'll need to create an account; after that, it seems the firmware updates are accessible without a support license. Requirements for support licenses are mainly verified at the controller level, not through the support portal. Note: Ruckus acquired Brocade and rebranded them as “Ruckus ICX”.

I was thinking about updating the firmware too. Isn't there an independent PoE firmware version available?

The first version of the microcontroller code is still valid and doesn’t require updates. The PoE firmware version will be adjusted to align with the FastIron software release, but this is only a visual update; the actual firmware stays the same. Should a new code version become available, Brocade will inform its clients about the necessary upgrade.
