Similar to previous versions, this one supports loading newer systems above the earlier R15. R20 is designed to utilize updated instructions on CPUs and GPUs.

I think that's a good question, actually. This version also adds a 'stress test' option that R15 didn't have. That could be an important confidence builder for someone whose work includes 12 hour render tasks and can't endure crashes in the middle of it.
It's not much, as it just runs the same render scene over and over endlessly, but it might be a really good render workload that very closely predicts and simulates real-world render workloads. So what matters is if the mix of instructions actually simulates a real-world render work load used in modern applications.
