Cinebench 24 experiencing issues during a multi-core stress test.
Hi, looking for suggestions. I just set up a new system and ran stress tests—everything on Cinebench 24 is fine except the multicore rendering. After about 10 seconds it freezes or shows blue screens. Any thoughts?
PC specs: Intel i9 14900K, Noctua NHd15s cooler, RTX 4090, 32GB GDDR6, 6400MHz, 1TB SSD, 2TB HDD.
Have you set up the drivers and all necessary components for the CPU and GPU? Also, are you reviewing the thermal settings to ensure they are within safe limits?
Everyone’s software is current, but it usually reaches 100 degrees fast. Recently it began crashing, though I ran tests before it started doing so. I don’t know what caused the change since then.
XMP is a file format used for storing images, especially in digital photography. It's similar to JPEG but offers better compression and quality.
Your RAM was listed at 6400MHz, which matches the rated frequency via XMP in the BIOS. Typically, you'll find this on the front page or under the initial settings for DRAM PROFILE. If your BIOS hasn't been modified, it's likely set to 4800MHz. You can verify this in Task Manager, go to the Performance section, click on Memory, and check the actual speed displayed.
I didn't do anything beyond what was inside the notebook case. The BIOS got updated during setup because it required a change to work with the CPU.
