I purchased a Dell P24T notebook from a Facebook seller for £2 due to a faulty power socket. After replacing it, I needed a universal adapter, but it only worked partially. I then bought a proper AC adapter for the notebook, not a generic multi-adapter. I wanted to check if it would charge the battery, especially since the HDD size is small and it came with Windows 10. I considered switching to Chromium OS to turn it into a Chromebook, but I didn’t do that before because it was risky. I’m curious if Chromium OS would work well here without causing performance issues, or if sticking with Windows would be better. Linux is an option, but I plan to try it when buying another budget laptop. Overall, this notebook cost around £24 (about $30), which I’m happy about. It’s the cheapest one shown in the video.
It set up smoothly on my system. Use the Cloudready installer for Windows to create a bootable USB. It functions well even with a mechanical hard drive, like an older 80GB 2.5" storage device, so performance should be better. Let me know if you need help with it.
