My computer runs everything smoothly and feels very quick for me. I also use Firefox for some tasks.

Running Crysis 3 on an overkill PC will make it run very smoothly, though it won't be the most optimized experience. For advanced users who want to tweak settings and security, it's crucial—especially with Chrome, which can have vulnerabilities even with careful use. It's helpful to keep configurations consistent across devices like tablets, HTPCs, or different operating systems, saving time and ensuring performance remains stable regardless of hardware. On low-power systems, Chrome can become quite slow and frustrating.

Each tab and extension runs its own process, which is why Chrome feels cluttered for power users. This information is quite outdated.

I use it at work on a Celeron, but I agree with your perspective. I recognize Firefox is better, yet I limit its use to what I deem essential. For casual browsing, I opt for Chrome because of the addblocker tool I have and since I’m too lazy to manually import bookmarks, even though it’s straightforward. To be completely honest, I wouldn’t have started using Chrome if my work hadn’t been stored on Drive.

That's remarkable... my oil submerged PC is an Intel dual core 2 duo e7400 with a 32GB RAM, and it also features a 120GB SSD.
