specs include cpu fx6300 overclocked to 4.6ghz, gpu 1050 ti, 8gigs ddr3 overclocked to 2133 ghz, psu seasonic 650w (model not remembered but functional), and chrome causing issues with hardware acceleration disabled. Chrome has been updated. Any suggestions?

It could be a rogue extension. Consider launching Chrome with extensions turned off and observe if the issue persists.

before i started disabling extensions it kept working. hasn't come up since. lol. probably time will tell.
