With a polished Chrome OS and solid gaming compatibility, I’d definitely consider using it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrome_OS

I won’t use it unless the devices are extremely affordable.

I tried Chrome OS but don’t really enjoy it. The package that came with it was essentially converted into a Windows notebook!

It's clear that chromebooks are very affordable, and because Chrome OS runs entirely in the cloud, game compatibility is essentially limited.

I’d only accept payments of $100 or less; the most affordable Chromebook options are around $200.

Google mostly built Chrome to monitor users, so tracking you at the core level is a concern. Android (Cyanogen Mod) remains superior, making Debian a better choice for me.

Perhaps using a low-end old laptop would work. If a recent machine were available, I’d likely stick with Linux instead of Windows.
