The post lists possible signs to watch for with a 13th or 14th generation CPU. It mentions memory errors and crashes during benchmarking, especially with Unreal Engine 5 games. The user also references crashes in Wukong and other titles. Additional resources are provided for further reading.

Starting a fresh day in this situation, I’m grateful for your help @Mumintroll. Yesterday I reviewed the thread you shared and noticed some of my symptoms. I decided to give it a try by lowering my CPU ratio by five times across all cores. After testing the system for the past hour, none of the symptoms have returned. The tests that previously failed completely are now running perfectly. This makes me wonder if the issue isn’t just degradation—my symptoms seem consistent regardless of CPU settings. Am I misunderstanding something?

It appears your CPU is under performance strain. You may need to lower its speed and power settings for stability. A fresh CPU with the latest microcode and default Intel configurations would avoid this issue. Your unit is now stable, but further degradation remains uncertain since it has already begun. Regardless, you have a faulty item and a legitimate chance to claim your warranty. Reach out to Amazon or initiate an RMA with Intel. You're not alone in this situation—many have faced similar problems. A reseller might have accepted the degraded unit and bypassed Intel's formal process. So they resold it as new. Amazon = Scamazon... The 12th gen Alder Lake CPUs are safe, and you might find a high-end model at a better price. Some 13th and 14th Raptor Lake models are built on the Alder Lake architecture, along with i3 and non-K i5 variants, and they're unaffected by Intel. Good luck!
