So there was a period a few days ago when my internet connection became unstable, mainly with network fluctuations. I replaced the Wi-Fi card and it improved—now I get around 120 Mbps. However, certain apps like Steam and Discord still won’t connect, while other programs work fine. It seems only browsers are affected. I’ve downloaded the drivers for the new card and tried various fixes: a TCP/IP reset, proxy settings, and even a DNS reset. The system reported the card was detected but said the DNS server wasn’t responding. I’ve also reset the router without success. I’m still unsure how to resolve this since I’m not very familiar with networking. My Steam download is MK11, and I downloaded it before. I just need some guidance now.

I might attempt to reinstall the programs that aren’t functioning, such as malwarebytes, obs, gyazo, razed cortex, and others.

Chrome stopped functioning, yet my smart TV and PS4 are working smoothly.

I think it's not my fault, so I'll reach out to them. Thanks for your assistance!

In the meantime, you might want to use these two ping commands in the command prompt window if you haven't done so already. The first one will assist in confirming the issue isn't on your side by checking connectivity to your modem/router, while the second one will indicate whether packets are lost at their end or on the server side. You can also test pathpinging Steam or Discord, or ideally check your internet service provider's website for results. You're free to ping your modem as many times as needed.
