Is there a Chrome extension that alerts you when someone has previously visited the page you're currently on?

This feature allows altering the appearance of links you've previously viewed. Normally, new links appear blue and visited ones purple.

I'll be navigating directly to the pages, which means I should see a notification in Chrome's interface indicating this change.

I take part in contests.
I tap a button on a page that contains an image-based link.
Once there, I see a form to complete.
I need to find out if I've visited this site before.
There are no purple links anywhere—first time using the image as a clickable link, then switching to a web form.

I notice the issue, many extensions function only with text links, making it difficult to alter the color of a clickable image lacking a border.
It appears a tailored extension is necessary for handling images and photos.

Perfectly, I would like an extension that alters the address bar or the extension icon's color when I'm on a page I've visited previously.

Can you check the saved pages? Chrome caches them.

Would just need to verify each page I'm on to identify any revisits (maybe using a History lookup), and show a notification if needed.
