Chrome and SLI
Chrome and SLI
I encountered problems with NVIDIA drivers after installing a second card for SLI. The crashes appeared mainly while browsing the internet, not on specific sites. I’ve reinstalled the drivers and disabled hardware acceleration in Chrome, which reduced GPU2 usage to 100%. Also removed three add-ons. It’s been about 15 minutes since the last crash. Anyone else facing similar issues?
It's a good idea to try a different driver. Many of the newest ones have had unexpected crashes, so a lot of people have moved back to an older version.
The latest beta update seems to resolve the crashing problems I thought were fixed. I previously experienced crashes on a single 980 unit.
I haven't encountered a beta version from Nvidia in nearly six months now.
It seemed like a beta driver, probably my mistake. I'm now using 353.06 and it's working fine without the crashes I had with the older version (GTA One?). Edit: you can turn on Beta Drivers in GFE, but I'm not sure if those are officially labeled as "Beta Drivers."
I'm testing the beta release of GFE, but most of the drivers I've seen recently are WHQL certified.
