Well, I'm completely puzzled. I chose to play American Truck Simulator once more before going to sleep. I adjusted the graphics settings, lowering the scaling back to 400% (after setting it to 200 to ease the stutter), and the game performed flawlessly! Is it possible that games function more efficiently after a PC has been running for a while?
