Choppy at 60 FPS
Choppy at 60 FPS
Initially, my 1 week-old PC performed well with a stable frame rate of 60 fps on ultra settings for games. However, after attempting to install a head tracker (DELANCLiP with PS3 camera) for playing American Truck Simulator, the performance dropped noticeably. The game now shows slight stuttering, with a noticeable 'stop, start, stop, start' pattern during scrolling effects like passing scenery and AI traffic. This issue persists even when Steam displays the frame rate around 56-59 FPS. Installing the required software to enable the head tracker did not resolve the problem. Anyone have suggestions to restore the previous performance?
I would begin by removing the GPU driver with DDU and then installing the most recent NVidia driver.
Even if you've already installed the latest driver, it might function as a GPU reset, confirming its status.
It's tough to tell if anything has changed positively. I'm starting to think maybe what I see is just something I've always seen before. Still, there had to be a reason that caught my attention.
In any case, it's not much worse than before.
But I've noticed that when I close a game now, my screen turns blue for a brief moment, like a display or resolution setting is shifting between the game and desktop.
@sizzling
Don't think there are any more ideas, right? It looks even worse now.
Not a gaming monitor. Just an old generic widescren monitor, but it is a monitor and not a TV.
Yes, latest drivers, because I re-installed them after using that uninstaller you linked to.
I assume you want the GPU results? Here's the link:

As a point of interest, when it was counting down to my results, showing the spokes and hundreds of different coloured particles whizzing about, it was saying I was getting 7 FPS ??
